James “Alky” Hall, 88, of Gladstone, MO, was called home on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at NorthCare Hospice House. He was born March 18, 1930, in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Smiley and Henrieta (Baum) Hall.
Jim worked with the Kansas City Fire Department for 26 years and the Postal Service for 11 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, earning a Purple Heart; he was an active member of the Combat Veteran Motorcycle Association and loved traveling with his wife on their motorcycle all over the United States where they actively volunteered for veteran organizations.
Those left to cherish his memory include his; step-children, Lynn Anderson, Nancy (Anderson) Peterson, and Nick Anderson.
In addition to his parents Jim is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Darlene “Dynomite” Hall.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 12-1 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. A memorial service will follow at 1 PM. Urn placement in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Combat Veterans Association of Kansas City.
