James Arley Hadley, 89, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at the North Care Hospice House. Jim was born October 28, 1928, to Frank and Dorothea (Fisher) Hadley in Beatrice, Nebraska. He worked on the family farm through school and in January 1952 he was drafted into the Army for the Korean War, where he worked as an Operating Room Tech. On July 3, 1964, he married the love of his life, Esther Blanco, the couple was inseparable, and always worked together as partners. They both worked two jobs most of their lives making sure that their family was taken care of. He loved his country and his classic Chrysler cars. Jim was known for his big heart, and the love for his family.
He is preceded in death by both parents, his wife of 51 years, sisters; June Hyslop, Janet Hyslop, and Carol Weber, and brother Dave Hadley.
Jim is survived by his son; Michael (Shari) Hadley of Kansas City, MO and his daughter Jacqueline Hadley also of Kansas City, MO. Also surviving are grandchildren; Mike Hadley and Zoie Rosolek, and brothers; Bill Hadley of Albion, NE and Jack Hadley of San Antonio, TX, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 13, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM with Memorial Services immediately following at 2:00 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Burial to follow in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial contributions go North Care Hospice or the Smithville VFW.
