Jacquetta Ann Myers, 91, of Kansas City, MO, peacefully entered the gates of Heaven with her daughter, Jenny, by her side on July 20, 2022. She was born to the late Wallace and Kathryn Quarles on September 17, 1930. She graduated high school from Northeast in Kansas City, MO, and married the most kind, gentle and handsome man, Kenneth Myers.
Jacquetta was a devoted mother to her two children, Steve and Jenny, and a faithful friend to those around her, particularly her sister, Jeanette, and her Myers sisters in law. Her involvement in their lives while keeping a career was extraordinary. There were many days that Jacquetta spent working overtime to ensure that her children were able to participate in their own events. She was a hard worker and had perfect attendance while working for TWA. During her life, Jacquetta became an avid explorer, enjoying various foods and traveling the world with family and friends. She shared her love of travel with her grandchildren, creating lifelong memories with annual trips to Arkansas for Myers family reunions, and special destinations like Hawaii and London. She loved music and fine arts and volunteered as a soap maker in the Living History program at Hodge Park. She supported many educational and charitable foundations. Butterflies had always caught Jacquetta’s eye. They were special and will be remembered by her family as a symbol of Jacquetta’s love.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Kenneth Myers; son: Stephen Myers; and sister Jeanette Berry.
