Jack Swicegood, 72, of Plattsburg, Missouri, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2020.
Jack was born on October 6, 1948 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was employed at International Transit & Storage in Kansas City, Kansas until 2017. He was a proud member of the Teamsters Union Local 838, having proudly served as Union Steward for many years. Jack was an avid sports fan; always cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, and Sporting KC. He will be missed by many for his incredible sense of humor! You could always find a Werther’s Original in his pocket. Jack truly enjoyed his annual Minnesota fishing trip with family and was blessed to have done so just a few months ago.
Due to COVID concerns, a ceremony for immediate family and friends will be held at a later date at Terrace Park Funeral Home and Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions or a new toy donation can be made to Toys for Tots or the Ronald McDonald house of Kansas City.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Jack & Verrel, brother, Bobby, sisters, Shirley & Linda and mother in law, Millie Klem. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 34 years, Kathryn, 3 children, 3 grandchildren, and a grandpuppy.
