Jack Ross of Kansas City, MO passed away March 14, 2016 at the age of 79. He was born on October 18, 1936 in Climax Springs, MO to Donald and Lillie (Eidson) Ross.
Jack graduated from Westport High School in 1955. He was All City in basketball his senior year and All City in football his junior and senior years. Jack was stationed in Germany for the 2 years that he served his country. He worked at Midland Litho as a lithographer for 33 years and was a member of GCIU Local 235. Upon retirement, he served as a marshal at the Smithville Golf Course. Jack was a loyal member of Northland Cathedral where he taught Sunday School with his wife, Judy, for over 30 years.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ed and Bill Ross, and sister, Trudy Joyce.
He leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Judy: 3 children, Janet, David and wife, Christie, and John; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Don and Kenny, and sister, Shirley.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 6-8pm at Northland Cathedral, 101 NW 99th St, KCMO 64155. Funeral services will be Friday, March 18, 2016 at 11am at the church. Burial to follow in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Children’s Department at Northland Cathedral.
