Ill Sung Cho, 70 of Kansas City, died at NorthCare Hospice house on Saturday, July 4, 2015. He was born May 12, 1945 in 6-1 Rosong-Dong, Siniju-Si, North Korea to the late Chul Wan Cho and Kum Hyun Kim.
He came to the U.S. in March of 1976 to work in the automotive industry. He later became the owner of the Westwood Village Laundry in Westwood, Kansas. He served in the Korean Air force, he loved flowers, nature, watching sports, fishing and reading; his most cherished times was time spent with his daughter and his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sung Ae Cho; daughter Kelli (Lee) Cho-Davis; grandchildren Elliott and Elise Davis, his brother Yi Sung Cho and late sister Il Kyoung Cho; he is also survived by his sister in laws Chong (Ron) McCormack his in-laws; the Shin Family and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, July 10, 2015 from 6 PM until time of service at 7 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. with his brother-in-law Pastor Soo Chul Shin officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 1 PM at Terrace Park Cemetery. In keeping with Korean tradition, the family requests contributions to the family in lieu of flowers.
