Herschell “Von” Faught, son of the late Herschell Bryan & Audrey (Harrison) Faught, was born on June 19, 1936 in Atlanta, Missouri and departed this life on December 16, 2018 in Kansas City, Missouri. At the time of his passing he was 82 years of age.
Von was reared in Macon, Missouri where he graduated from High School in 1954. After graduation he went to work for Hallmark Cards where he met Marlyn Ellis. On May 26, 1957 they were united in marriage. Shortly after their wedding he joined the United States Army where he proudly served in the National Guard for six years. Together they loved to spend their free time playing golf and watch the Kansas City Chiefs. They loved to try all different restaurants around Kansas City but he loved his Mexican restaurants the most. He truly loved spending time with his Great-Nieces, Chloe & Hannah and his Great-Nephew, Dane.
He is preceded in passing by his parents; two siblings, Norma and Stan; and one Great-Niece, Hannah. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Marlyn Faught. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, friends and family who will all truly miss him.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Terrace Park Lakeside Chapel with Pastor Russ Hamilton officiating. Memorial contributions may be made out to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
