Helen R. Williams

October 17, 1934 — September 23, 2024

Helen R. Williams, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on October 17, 1934 in Buckner, MO, Helen filled her years with laughter and joy for those around her. She devoted many fulfilling years of her life working for Sherwin Williams before retiring to Sophir-MorrisPaint, where her dedication and hard work left a lasting impact. In Helen’s later years, she resided at Our Lady of Mercy Country Home and then later on at the Colonial Village of Overland Park, KS.

Helen was not just known for her career; she was a people person who thrived on the connections she made. With a warm smile and an open heart, she embraced every opportunity to form friendships, whether in her professional life or during her cherished moments at play.

A lover of fun and adventure, Helen cherished her time spent at the casino, creating countless memories there with her devoted husband. The weekends and holidays held a special place in her heart as they routinely journeyed to the Lake of the Ozarks, where each trip was filled with cherished moments that forged lasting bonds and stories to tell.

Known for her weekly visits to the hair salon, Helen valued feeling her best. A glass of wine often accompanied her days—an apt enhancement to her vibrant personality, which lit up any room she entered. Helen approached life with the spirit of a true enthusiast, whether she was indulging in her favorite games, celebrating with family and friends, or simply enjoying watching the birds in her feeders on her back patio.

We celebrate Helen R. Williams, a woman whose zest for life and genuine kindness will forever echo in our hearts.
