Helen Catherine Holcomb, 79, of Kansas City, MO passed away October 9, 2011. Funeral services are 10:00 am Wednesday October 12th at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home, with visitation 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday at the chapel. Burial in Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery.Helen was born May 11, 1932 in New York City, NY to Catherine Gladding. She married Glen E. Holcomb on September 3, 1952. Helen was a custodian in the North Kansas City School District, retiring after several years of service. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Independence, MO. She was preceded in death by her son, John T. Finn, and infant daughter, Ellen Louise Holcomb. Survivors include her husband, Glen E. Holcomb, children, Sherry Mayer, Barbara McCoy, and husband, Bob, Christina McAllister, Mark Holcomb, Glen W. Holcomb, and wife, Jackie, 8 grandchildren, Rosie DeHues, Cindy Dowell, John Finn, Jr., Jennifer Smith, Tamara Brennan, and husband, Donnie, Michelle Cole, and husband, Justin, Ashley Reynolds, and husband, Cameron, Tiffany Holcomb, and 7 great grandchildren.
