Helen Margaret Henderson, 93, of Kansas City, MO, passed away, July 4, 2017, at NorthCare Hospice. Helen was born Jan. 17, 1924, to Milton and Christine (Cooper) Moon, in Clark, MO. She graduated from Fayette H.S. in 1941. After moving to Kansas City she met the love of her life and married Kenneth E. Henderson on May 30, 1952. Together they ran an insurance business in Gladstone, MO. She enjoyed reading, going to Jazz on the Square and spending time with her lunch time friends. She was also a member of the Avondale Methodist Church for over 50 years.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 48 years.
She is survived by her only son Martin (Debbie) Henderson, of Dallas, TX; two grandchildren, Nathan (Jessica) Henderson, of Humble, TX and Rachel (Braughn) Curtis, of Leonard, TX; six great-grandchildren; sister; Martha Sue Nevar, of Albany, OR and many nieces and nephews.
Helen will be buried with her husband. No public services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to NorthCare Hospice. Share online at TerraceParkFH.com.
