Harry Morningstar

July 7, 1925 — March 7, 2021

Harry M. Morningstar, 95, of Kansas City, Missouri, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 7, 2021. He was born July 7, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Harry and Gladys (Smith) Morningstar. Harry was a WWII Army Air Corp Veteran. He loved studying languages and religion. Harry was self-taught in 6 languages including Hebrew. He also has a passion for aviation and worked for TWA for 36 years before his retirement. Harry knew no stranger and loved to talk to anyone. He and his late wife, Frances, of 62 years, loved to travel and visited many places around the world.

He is survived by his children: Joyce Morningstar, Scottsdale, AZ; David (Martha) Morningstar, Smithville, MO; Neal (Sue) Morningstar, Kansas City, MO; Craig (Julie) Morningstar, Scottsdale, AZ; Scott (Rocio) Morningstar, Keller, TX; and Janelle Morningstar, Kansas City, MO; Grandchildren: Tabitha (Andrew) Maxwell, Ottawa, KS; Christopher Morningstar, Kansas City, MO; Sean Morningstar, Scottsdale, AZ; Tyler Morningstar, Scottsdale, AZ; Rachel Morningstar, Kansas City, MO; and Matthew Morningstar, Keller, TX; and a great-grandson, Jackson.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Morningstar; brothers, Clayton, and Roger; daughter-in-law, Laurie; and great-granddaughter, Ivy.

Due to COVID restrictions, Harry's family has requested a private funeral service; however, they invite you to attend virtually via the live stream link below.
