Harold Dean Scott of Bakersfield, California, died March 27, 2024. He was 95 years old.
Mr. Scott was born September 4, 1928, in Chanute, Kansas. After attending Chanute Junior College he began a 38- year career for the Federal Government. First, he served as a Communications Specialist in the United States Air Force. Then he began working as a Telegraphic Typewriter Operator in the Air Traffic Division of the Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA)
which became the Federal Administration Agency (FAA). In 1980 Mr. Scott was assigned to the Regional Operations Center in Kansas City, Missouri, and was promoted through the ranks to Manager in 1989. He earned several awards throughout his career.
Mr. Scott was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Wilson Scott, sister Dorothy Morrow, of Great Bend, Kansas, and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Scott of Chanute, Kansas.
He is survived by step-daughters LaRe Butler of Bakersfield, California, and Lois (William)Tetrick of Centreville, Virginia, and grandson William (Sanna)Tetrick III of Los Angeles, California.
Mr. Scott leaves a brother, Kenneth Pat Scott, Chanute, Kansas, a sister,
Evelyn Allison, Chanute, Kansas, and several nieces and nephews and other family members.
