Harold L. Peterson, 88, of Gladstone, Missouri went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 4, 2024.

Harold was born on May 26, 1935 in Kansas City, Kansas to parents, Waldo and Henrietta Peterson. He grew up in the Rosedale community where he met the love of his life, Donna McChristy. They were married in 1955 and from this marriage were blessed with two sons. After high school, Harold enlisted in the United States Navy. His natural athletic prowess led him to become a proud representative of the Naval sports teams in both softball and golf. After five years of dedicated service, he transitioned to civilian life and pursued higher education, ultimately earning his associate degree from Johnson County Community College. Harold's dedication and strong work ethic paved the way for a successful career in the electronic/laser equipment field. He contributed his talents to various companies, including Bendix, Hoffmann-La Roche, and, lastly, Baxter International. His role at Baxter International took him around the globe, consulting in countries such as China, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, and more - until his retirement in 2004. In his spare time Harold enjoyed collecting; and had an impressive collection of guns, knives, and coins.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Nancy Albright.

He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife of 68 years, Donna; sons, Kevin (Joan) Peterson and Keith Peterson; grandchildren, Jacob (Sally), Brandon (Lacey), Tim, Dan and Rachel (Scott) Matias; and five great-grandchildren.
