HAROLD EDWARD BOX
Harold Edward Box passed away at his home in the Ozarks on September 9th, 2015. He was born in Topeka, KS on January 15, 1931. He was the son of Harold E Box, Sr. and Ethel Walraven Box-Higbee who preceded him in death as did his wife Betty Box.
Harold grew up in Topeka and graduated from Topeka High School in 1948. He spent his entire career in the Printing industry starting as a Pressman for the State of Kansas, he assisted Bill Moore in establishing Mainline Printing beginning at 4th & Jackson. He went into sales of printing presses and other equipment and finished his career as part owner of Disgraf Services, Inc. in Kansas City. He retired in 1996 to his home in the Ozarks. He spent many years boating, fishing, and entertaining every child whose path he crossed. He also was a huge Nascar fan.
Harold is survived by his partner Sherry Kirkham and his 5 children. Debra Foster, Harold (Alice) Box, Roger (Peggy) Box, Susan Stickles, and Darren (Shannon) Box. He had 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Two memorial services will be held. First is September 17th at 1:00 pm at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. Kansas City, MO and second is September 19th at 11:00 am at Colony Baptist Church in Edwards MO.
