Hannah Lynn Mendez was born on November 25, 2019, to Chris and Amber Mendez in Kansas City, MO and passed peacefully in their arms on May 28, 2024.
Hannah was diagnosed at the age of two with leukemia. Through the help of a trial chemo, she was able to receive a bone marrow transplant on December 22, 2022 with dad as the donor. In the fall of 2023, she was able to enter preschool at Saint James and played soccer, something she had begged to do for over a year. In December of 2023, her cancer returned. This did not stop Hannah from enjoying all the things she had come to love. Her passions include playing with her older brother Jackson and her many friends, going to the pool, soccer, and art activities such as painting and sand art. Other things she enjoyed include flamingos, Barbies, LOL dolls, unicorns, Minnie Mouse, all things Disney Princesses and her endless supply of snacks. She endeared herself to many through her strength and personality, and often brightened your day after being around her.
Throughout her life Hannah and her family made amazing memories, visiting Branson annually, a Make-a-Wish trip to Disney World, playing at numerous waterparks and pools, baseball games, visiting family out of town, attending the first KC Current home game in the built for GIRLS stadium and most importantly spending time together, her favorite.
