Born January 8, 1927 to Homer and Annie Bryant in Tamalco, Illinois. She was next to the youngest of 5 brothers. Gracie entered the gates of Heaven on Friday April 4, 2025 at the age of 98 at the Oak Grove Nursing Home. (On April 5th was Gracie and Henry 68th wedding Anniversary.)
She was preceded in death by her parents Homer and Annie, all of her brothers Ernest, Dallas, Russell, and Carlos. Two husband's: Robert (Bob) Bost, and Henry Reed, one son: Robert Gary Bost, one grandson: Ryan Bost and her favorite son in law: William Hopkins.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon Hopkins of Branson, Mo.; grandson: Kevin Hopkins of Blue Springs, Mo.; granddaughter: Alesia House of Dallas, Texas; granddaughter: Tamara Baker of Riverside, MO; and grandson: Cory Bost.
Four great grandchildren: Cassie Daus, Kaylee Hopkins, Matthew House, and Autumn House; and four step great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and step great great grandchildren.
Gracie had several Nieces and Nephews and family members in Illinois whom she loved very much.
She was originally from the Illinois area but later moved to Missouri and lived in Independence, Gladstone, and Kansas City North area for years. She always attended church before she got sick and was unable to do so. She really enjoyed traveling for many winters after Henry retired. Gracie and Henry would spend the winters in Texas or Florida.
Gracie was a meticulous housekeeper, she never had a throw rug out of place and she kept her yard the same way. She had a good sense of humor and never hesitated to speak her mind on a subject if need.
Gracie will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of those who loved her.
