Gerry Hall

Gerry Hall, 83, passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, March 21st, 2025, at St. Luke's North Hospital.

Gerry was born on May 29th, 1941, to Buster and Jenny Hall in Macon, Missouri. He grew up alongside his siblings, a brother, Gene, and a sister, Linda. Gerry graduated from Macon High School in 1959 and proudly served six years in the Army, which shaped much of his disciplined nature and love for adventure.

Following his military service, Gerry moved to Kansas City, where he married Theo “Teddi” Hadley. Together, they raised two children, Todd and Jill. Gerry built a successful career at Metro Auto Auction, where he worked for many years before retiring. Years later he welcomed into his life an adult son, Clint, who was able to find Gerry through the genealogy work of his daughter Jill.

Outside of work, Gerry had a deep love for travel, often exploring the world with his close friends Gary Holman and Bruce Terrell. He also had a passion for snow skiing, spending many winters skiing with friends and family. Though adventurous in his younger years, Gerry was best known for his steady, fiscally responsible nature and his serious demeanor.

Gerry dedicated much of his life to studying the Bible and living out his faith. He was a man of integrity, with a quiet strength that touched everyone who knew him.

Gerry was preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Jenny; his sister, Linda; his brother, Gene; and his beloved daughter, Jill.

He is survived by his ex-wife Teddi; his son Todd and wife Sherry; grandchildren, Collin, Rebecca, and Jacob. His son Clint and wife Barri; and his grandson Gavin.

Gerry will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and a loyal friend. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 29th, at Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery. The visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a service at 10:00 a.m., Interment following, Gerry will be laid to rest beside his daughter, Jill.
