GERALD L. CORPENING
Jerry Corpening, 82, of Liberty MO, passed away on November 27, 2015 with his family by his side. He was born October 25, 1933 in Allen, Kansas to Jesse Jay and Bertha (Thomas) Corpening. Jerry worked for TWA, retiring after 25 years. He loved to spend his time traveling and volunteering in the National Parks. This hobby took him to places in Alaska, North Carolina and Tennessee just to name a few. In his later years, he found a love for bowling and swimming.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Liz, step-daughter, Esther Peek, granddaughter, Brandy Burns and 5 siblings. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Norma; daughter, Sheila Burns; 4 step-children, Earl (Melanie) Belz, Janice (Gary) Exline, Teresa (Brad) Campbell, William Mapes; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and 4 siblings.
A memorial service will be Monday, November 30, 2015 at 11 AM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Visitation will begin an hour prior.
