Georgia C. Butler

May 28, 1939 — December 8, 2023

Georgia C. Butler, devoted mother, grandmother, and housewife, passed away on December 8, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. Born on May 28, 1939, Georgia's life was characterized by grace, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to her family, faith and community.

After graduating from North Kansas City High School, Georgia embarked on a fulfilling career as a dental hygienist. However, Georgia's true vocation blossomed when she became a mother. The joy she found in raising her children was an irreplaceable source of fulfillment for her. She left behind her dental career to focus on creating a nurturing home environment for her growing family.

In addition to being a loving mother and dedicated wife, Georgia had a myriad of interests that enriched both her life and those around her. Crafting intricate jewelry through beading was not only a talent but also one of her favorite pastimes. Through this creative outlet, she poured her heart into every piece she made, infusing them with love and beauty.

Georgia's artistic spirit extended beyond jewelry-making as she embraced the world of painting with her daughters after the passing of her husband.

As a skilled seamstress, Georgia played an integral role in dressing her daughters throughout their childhood and beyond. With nimble fingers and an eye for detail, she sewed clothing that reflected their individual personalities. Each stitch carried with it not just skill but also the love and care that defined Georgia.

The beauty of nature brought her serenity and solace through nurturing her houseplants, watching the birds at her feeders and fountains, serving as a reminder of life's simple joys.

Georgia touched the lives of countless individuals through her gentle nature, unwavering love, and boundless creativity. Her warmth and compassion were contagious and left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. She will forever be remembered for her ability to bring comfort and joy to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband: Dennis Butler; and a brother and sister.

Georgia leaves behind her loving family of three children: Cynthia (Mark) Bricker, Kelley (Robert) Sanders, and Dennis Jr. (Trish) Butler; grandchildren: Cole (Lindsay) Bricker, Clay (Payton) Bricker, Sophia Butler, and Isabell Butler; as well as two great grandchildren: Emerson and Lainey Bricker; and not to forget, her beloved puppy, Izzy.

May her spirit live on in our hearts, reminding us to embrace each day with kindness, creativity, and an unwavering devotion to our loved ones. Rest in peace, dear Georgia.
