George Anthony Sykora (45), Kansas City, Missouri., passed away on April 21, 2014 at Liberty Hospital following a serious automobile accident. Memorial Services will be Saturday, April 26 at 10:00 am at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 1701 NE 96th Street, Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation is Friday, April 25, from 5:00-7:30 pm at King of Kings Lutheran Church. George was born, September 2, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Waukegan High School 1986 and from Wyoming Technical Automotive School in 1987. He married Tracy (Speropoulos) on August 14, 1992. He worked at Midas Muffler in Waukegan, Illinois, prior to moving to Kansas City. He owned a Meineke Muffler Shop from 2003-2008 and was currently employed at Tires Plus in Kansas City, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles R. Sykora. He is survived by his wife, Tracy Sykora, his daughter, Ashley (18), his son, Matthew (16), his mother, Janice (Jankowiak-Sykora) Sacramento, his step-father, Dominic Sacramento, his sister, Lorelei (Sykora) Calta, his brother, Mark Sykora , his step-brothers, Joe Sacramento and Jason Sacramento, his father-in-law, Tasos Speropulos and his grandmother Louise Jankowiak. George was a devoted husband, loving father, great brother, amazing auto mechanic, avid bowler, and wonderful friend. He always worked hard to provide for his family, and was always willing to help anyone in need. He had a terrific sense of humor, always telling jokes, and always smiling.
