George Philpott

George Allen Philpott, son of the late George Raymond and Jewell Bernice (Gott) Philpott, was born on October 13, 1936 and departed this life on June 23 2019. At the time of his passing he was 82 years of age.

George, in his own way, had a wonderful sense of humor. He truly enjoyed his own jokes and being able to make others laugh. George was united in marriage to Sharon Philpott and together they shared 47 wonderful years together. He retired from the Kansas City Parks and Recreations after 35 years of service.

George was preceded in passing by his parents; his loving wife of 47 years, Sharon Philpott; two brothers, Raymond and Jack Philpott; and one sister, Veda Philpott. He is survived by his two children, Peggy Pound and Allen Philpott; two brothers, Donald Philpott and Dale Philpott; one sister-in-law, Vickie Connours; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way. He also leaves behind several friends and other family members who will truly miss him.
