George Knotts

George Calvin “Barney” Knotts, 77, passed away December 4, 2017 at KU Hospital. George was born January 21, 1940 in Carrollton, Missouri, to Eugene L. and Mary (Petty) Knotts. He resided with his wife Ethel Mae (Jones) Knotts in Kansas City, Missouri. George and Ethel celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on August 16, 2017. He loved family, fishing, hunting, camping, traveling, and teasing his nieces and nephews. George retired from Gateway Packaging in 2005.
George was preceded in death by his father, and two brothers; Lester and Joe Knotts.
He is survived by his wife of the home, mother Mary Elizabeth of Warsaw, Missouri, brother Lawrence Eugene of Osceola, Missouri, uncle Harley Clavin Knotts of Independence, Missouri, aunt Jannie (Jerome) Cunningham of Idaho, and many friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be Friday, December 8, 2017 at 11 AM with Funeral Services immediately following at 12 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO.
