Geneva Jean Baker, 64, of Kansas City, MO passed away on January 27, 2020.
Geneva was born on April 29, 1955 in Seoul, Korea to Ralph and Kyung Dewey. Soon after, her family moved to the Kansas City area where she attended school. She met the love of her life, Terry Baker, and two years later they married on May 1, 1972. Geneva took great pride in caring for her home and family. She especially loved cooking and listening to music with her son, Bryan. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, planting flowers, fishing and boating at Smithville Lake. Her favorite indoor activity was watching QVC and finding good deals on jewelry and clothes. Geneva is preceded in death by her daughter Dawn Charity, father, Ralph Dewey and brother, Delmar Lee Dewey. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her husband, Terry Baker; son, Bryan Baker; mother, Kyung Dewey; siblings, JoAn Farmer, Mary Jo Geier, Thomas Dewey, and Janet Lewis; sister and brother in-law; Viola and Tom; and many extended family and friends. A celebration of Life will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home and Cemetery on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 2:00pm, with visitation held one hour prior.
