Gene Alan Naylor, 83, of Gladstone, MO, died at home on Thursday, February 1, 2018, after a long battle with Parkinson’s. He was born January 20, 1935, to the late Arthur Lee and Margaret Marie (Snow) Naylor.
Gene was a quiet man, who loved spending time with his family. He retired from Hallmark Cards after 37 years of service, where he worked in shipping and receiving. It was at Hallmark where he met Shirley Hill.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley, children Kimberly (David) Kaissling and son Scott (Ara) Naylor, 10 grandchildren; Kent, Kristin, Kirk, Julia, Jaclyn, Andrew, Emily, Trace, Tori and Trent; 8 great-grandchildren Carter, Mackenzie, Harper, Hannah, Eli, Annli, Declan and Cohen. He is also survived by his, nieces, and other extended family.
In addition to his parents, Gene is preceded in death by his daughter Rhonda Sue Brown, son-in-law Richard Reeves Brown, brothers Arthur Lee Naylor Jr. and Jerry Glen Naylor.
Visitation will be Monday, February 5, 2018 from 2-3 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO.
