G. Hedenskog

August 25, 1943 — April 24, 2012

G. Larry Hedenskog, 68, of Smithville, Mo passed away April 24, 2012 at St. Luke's Northland Hospital due to heart failure. He was born in Independence, Mo on August 25, 1943 to Inez and Glenn Hedenskog and has one older brother Cooper Hedenskog.  Larry joined the Navy after graduating from high school stationed at Maryland. After retiring from the Navy he met his wife of 48 years, Janet. He was an electrician at TWA/American Airlines for 41 years and loved to travel.  He was an avid bass fishermen and was an active member of the Central States Bass Association for many years. For those that knew him, he was always telling jokes and full of dry humor. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and their spouses, Lisa and John Martoncik,  and Kristen and Dean Larson, and 5 grandchildren, Hunter, Bailey, Addison, Madeline, Aidan as well as nieces, nephews and friends. His family is saddened by his sudden death and he will be forever missed. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday, April 27 at Mount Moriah Terrace Park; with burial following at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 26 at the funeral home.Arrangements under the direction of Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home; 801 N.W. 108th St; Kansas City, MO (816) 734-5500
