Frances "Fran" Palmer

Frances “Fran” Marion Palmer, 90, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022. She was born November 3, 1931, in Possum Hollow, Arkansas to the late Jesse and Ruth (Estes) Wright.

She was an educator, teaching mostly High School English at Kansas City area Christian schools. She and her late husband, Eugene, were longtime and very active members of Sherwood Bible Church. They both traveled the world providing support to their missionary friends in other countries.

Fran’s favorite past times were reading and sewing.  She was a very accomplished seamstress.  She also was well known for her green thumb, sharing cuttings and bulbs from her beautiful house plants and flower beds.

Frances is survived by five children, 15 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Fran is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Eugene, who died in 2020.

A funeral service will be held at Sherwood Bible Church, 4900 N. Norton Ave., Kansas City, MO 64119 on Monday, July 18 at 1:30 PM, followed by a private burial at Terrace Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to John Brown University and Sherwood Bible Church.
