Frances Baugher

Frances E.  Baugher, 92, of Kansas City, died on Tuesday, November 06, 2018. She was born October 23, 1926 in Hale, Missouri to the late Wallace and Golda (Zell) Phillips.

She attended high school in Chula, MO, graduating in 1944.  She married Hubert “Bill” Baugher on May 26, 1946; they moved to Kansas City in 1948 where she worked for Yellow Freight as a cahier for 34 years. She loved teaching Sunday school at Holy Cross Lutheran Church and spent time working at the pre-school after retiring. She volunteered for 18 years at the Northland Christmas store. Time with her family and church was very important to her; especially the time spent with her daughter, grandson and two great-grandchildren. Bill and Frances enjoyed traveling and made good use of their TWA Passes.

She is survived by her daughter Rhonda (Earl) King, grandson Michael (Janet) Holloway, great-grandchildren Lauren and Allie, and nephews Garry Baugher and Gayle Baugher and nieces Nancy Justice and Barbara Mason.

In addition to her parents, Frances is preceded in death by her husband Bill and Brother Paul Phillips.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, November 10, 2018, at 2 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Visitation will begin at 1:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Terrace Park Cemetery.
