Floyd Anthony Beavens, Jr. 70, of Independence, MO, died at Autumn Terrace Care Center on Sunday, November 27, 2016, He was born September 10, 1946 in Kansas City, MO to the late Floyd A. and Doris E. (Minor) Beavens.
Floyd loved music, especially Elvis and Johnny Cash; he also enjoyed John Wayne movies. He worked at Raphael’s Restaurant in Kansas City, for 20 years, before retiring. He loved his family and God.
He was the loving husband of 40 years of Peggy (Wilson) Beavens, dear brother of the late John Owen Beavens; brother-in-law of Shirley Sue Edwards and Dale Kiser, beloved uncle of Michelle King and John Owen Beavens II; beloved cousin of Larry Dale Minor and a dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend.
Visitation will be Friday, December 2, 2016 from 5-7 PM with service beginning at 7 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO.
