Evelyn Anderson

Evelyn Marie Anderson, 82, of Kansas City, MO passed away October 26, 2020 at her home. She was born on February 2, 1938 in Kansas City, Kansas.  She married Leo T. Anderson, the two had three children. Evelyn was a lifelong homemaker who dedicated her life to the support and care of her family. At any given time, you would find her taking on the role of caregiver; whether it be her grandmother, her mother, siblings, or any number of relatives throughout the years. You could always count on her to fulfill this role.

Evelyn was a member of the Gladstone Baptist Church, where she attended services until no longer able. She took pleasure in the simple things in life. She enjoyed being involved in the lives of her family. Crocheting, working jigsaw puzzles, and reading were some of her favorite activities.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack W. Kitchell and Evelyn L. (Barber) Anderson; beloved husband, Leo; and two sisters, Jackie L. Shields and Sharon C. Waggoner.

She will be greatly missed and forever loved by her three daughters, Patricia M. Pettijohn, Evelyn S. Summers, and Deanna L. Wilson; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sandra Beller and Winona Butzin.

A visitation and service will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home on Saturday, November 14th. The visitation will begin at 10am with a funeral service following at 11am.
