Ethel L Lambeth

April 12, 1928 — February 1, 2023

Kansas City

Ethel Lambeth, 94, gained her angel wings on February 1, 2023.

Ethel was born on April 12,1928 to Stella and William (Jack) Littrell in Pacific, Missouri. Ironically this is the same year as Mickey Mouse, which she loved to brag that they were the same age. She was the middle child of 7 children and remained close with all her brothers and sisters throughout her whole life.

She married Lawrence E. Lambeth on January 26,1948 in Eureka, Missouri and had daughters Susan and Carol and a son Larry.

Throughout her life she was a member of Eastern Star. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, and a Bluebirds and Campfire Girls leader. Being active in the elementary school as a PTA member, volunteer in the library, and room mother, she was able to make sure her kids did not act out.

Ethel worked retail at Jones Store, Macy’s, Harzfield’s, and Dillard’s selling high end dresses and shoes. She would not hesitate to tell you if something did not look good on you while shopping (Boy did she like to shop). This is also something she passed on to her daughters, the love of shopping.

Ethel loved to read, traveling, gardening, going shopping (even if it was just to look), going to the motorcycle races, and attending bluegrass festivals. She had a green thumb and would grow vegetables, plants, and flowers. She called it “playing in the dirt”. If she was frustrated about something, she would go out and pull weeds. As far music goes, her favorite artist was Tom Jones. She also liked to occasionally have a cold beer or a good margarita.

Ethel is survived by her children Susie Regier (Eldon), Carol Caudill (Fred), and Larry Lambeth (Sandra); five grandchildren, Holly Smith (Corey), Adam Regier, Shaun Caudill, Amanda (Derrik) Keeton, and Aaron Merritt; four great-grandchildren, Corbin, Caleb, Carter, and EmmaLee; her brothers Charlie and Larry; and her sisters Alice and Norma; and many nieces and nephews.
