Erma Thomas, 92, of Gladstone, MO passed away peacefully on June 22, 2017. She was born November 2, 1924 in Trenton, MO to the late Clarence Vernon and Martha Bessie (Dawson) Marrs.
Erma was a wonderful person. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Erma had a passion for cooking and loved to have the family together for big holiday meals. She loved her family dearly and also loved cheering on her “Boys in Blue”.
Erma is preceded in death by her husband, Don Thomas; an infant son; 4 grandchildren; 5 brothers and 7 sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include her 3 children, Carolyn Babbitt (Lindell Graham), Donna Kay (Jerry) Bowman, Roy (Lisa) Thomas; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Daisy Gulling and Lela Hughes and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Visitation will be from 1-2 PM with the funeral service at 2 PM, Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Interment will be 11:30 AM Monday, June 26, 2017 in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Asana Hospice, 9001 Stateline Rd, Kansas City, MO 64114.
