ERMA JEAN SWETNAM
Erma Jean Swetnam, 91, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on December 10, 2015. She was born June 23, 1924 in Lincoln, Missouri to Ermal H. and Polly (Bradshaw) McLain. Erma Jean was a devoted housewife for most of her life, but in her younger years, she worked for Elegant Alley in the Antioch Mall. She attended the Gladstone Church of God where she taught Sunday school and was a part of the Women’s Missionary Society. Erma Jean also held a position on the Christian Board of Education.
Erma Jean is preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Lester Swetnam; son, David Michael Swetnam and sister, Mary Lee.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Gigi (Jeff) Carlson; 4 grandchildren, Michael Swetnam, Bryan Swetnam, Jimmy Morse, Hana Morse and 3 great-grandsons, Elijah, Joaquin and Alex.
Visitation will be Monday, December 14, 2015 from 5-7 PM at Terrace Park Lakeside Chapel, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 11 AM at the Lakeside Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family to offset funeral expenses.
