Emmett Ristau, 76 of Kansas City, Missouri passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 at North Kansas City Hospital. He was born August 5, 1938 in Weir, Kansas to the late William O. and Bessie (Pierson) Ristau.
He worked in Tower Maintenance for the FAA for more than 15 years, was a member of the Iron Workers Union and proudly served in the U.S. Navy achieving the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class; and enjoyed his time at Lake Paradise Camp Grounds.
He was the loving husband of the late Jackie M. Ristau, who died earlier this year; father of the late Bryan P. Ristau. Cherished grandfather of: Christina, Jake, Gabrielle; and great- grandfather of Aunika and Savannah. He is a dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle cousin and friend to many.
A memorial service will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home and Cemetery’s Lakeside Chapel at801 N.W. 108th Street (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, Missouri 64155 on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 11 AM . His final resting place will be next to his wife at Terrace Park Cemetery, Kansas City. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial gifts to be donated to Ctf.org for Neurofibromatosis research.
