Emmett Dale Caw

Emmett Dale Caw, born in St. Joseph, MO on February 13, 1936, passed away in the home on Tuesday, September 27, 2011.  Emmett, often called "Chick", was a firefighter for the St. Joseph Fire Department before moving to Kansas City in 1960.  He retired from the KCFD as an FAO after 41 years – all told.  He was a Master Mason and part of the Charity Zeredatha Masonic Lodge #189 for 51 years.  Chick was also a part of the Air National Guard and was honorably discharged in the 1960s.  He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Lois (Glenanne), daughter, Cathy Calia and husband Ben, son, Curt Caw and wife April, 6 grandchildren, Scott, Laura, Sashia, Amber, Aaron,  and Selesta, and 3 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Heith and Jett, his sister, Joyce Coder and husband, Bill, brother in law, Larry Oldham and MANY nieces, nephews and loved ones in the KC/St. Joe area.  Visitation will be held at Mt. Moriah Terrace Park Funeral home at 108th St. and 169 highway on Sunday, Oct. 2 from 1-3 p.m.  Funeral arrangements have been made at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden, 3609 Frederick Ave. in St. Joseph on Monday, Oct. 3 at 10:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the National
