Emma Rohr

Emma "Joan" Rohr, 82, of Parkville, MO. Passed away Dec. 27, 2013. Funeral services are 2 PM Monday Dec. 30, 2013 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 5409 NW 72nd St. KCMO, with visitation one hour prior to service. Memorial contributions are suggested to American Parkinson Disease Assoc., Gloria Dei Lutheran Church memorial fund or Gloria Dei WELCA. Joan was born in Hale, MO. Feb. 2, 1931 on the family farm. She moved to Kansas City and worked for TWA where she met her husband Al. They were married for over 60 years. She also worked as a bookkeeper for MARCO homes for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Lela Wells, two sisters, Helen Louise Wells and June Martin, and brother, Ivan Wells. Survivors include: Daughters, Pam [Brian] Sweeney, Paula [Clayton] Fry; Brothers, Donald and Richard [Renee] Wells; grandchildren, Rachel [Steve] Schroff, Tyler Brentlinger, Adam Pogue and Lauren Brentlinger. Joan was a loving wife, mother and friend. She was dedicated to her family, church and friends. She will be cherished and missed by all.
