Elnora “Nora” A. (Brenneman) Monroe, 79, of Smithville, MO, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2019. She was born March 20, 1940, in Leavenworth, KS.

Monroe III (Jinny), brother James “Jim” Justus, sister-in-law Zandi Brenneman, her grandchildren Hayden, Nicholas, Ava and Emma Johnson; Andy, Ben and Luke Monroe; Michiko and Masato McMahon; and Erica Haley, her nephews Ernest “Ernie” Shikles (Gena) and Aaron Brenneman (Ines) and their families, as well as numerous family members and friends who loved her dearly.

In addition to her parents, Ralph “Barney” Brenneman (Shirley) and Elnora Justus (Norman), Nora was preceded in death by her husband John C. Monroe, Jr., her son Michael D. Johnson, her step-daughter Laurie (Monroe) McMahon, her brother Ralph “Budge” Brenneman and her son-in-law, Gene C. Ivey, Jr.
