Elmer Charles Hilding, Sr (Joe), 54, of Kansas City, Mo passed away June 30, 2015. A Celebration of Life service is pending. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Disabled American Veterans.
Joe was born August 3, 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was the Owner of Hilding Construction, and was a carpenter for over 30 years. He was a Navy veteran serving from September 1977 to September 1981. Joe’s favorite color was red, he loved John Wayne, westerns, sci-fi and zombie movies, watched lots of different TV shows, from NCIS, MASH, and Sons of Anarchy to the Walking Dead. He loved his family like no other, he would always bring his children Valentines and Easter baskets. He enjoyed always doing something for someone. His children said, “When you hear someone say that he would take the shirt off his back for you “, that was their Father. He took great pride in the work he did and could build almost anything. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Marie Hilding, father, Billy D. Clarke, and sister, Kimberlee Sue Hilding. Survivors include his children, Christina Lorraine Nastasi, and husband John, of Kansas City, Mo, Sarah Dawn Kelly, and husband Adam, of Kansas City, Mo, Elmer Charles Hilding, Jr “Chuck”, of Kansas City, Mo, Madalyn Louise Colombo, of Parkville, Mo, 7 grandchildren, Ceceila Nastasi, Alex Bisconti, Max Nastasi, Elmer Charles Hilding III “CJ”, Lexi Hilding, Ruairi Sue Kelly, Abbigail White sister, Cindy Shelley, and husband, Jeff, of Florida, mother, Beverly June Clark, of Florida, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
