Elaine Frances Eckhart, 68, of Kansas City, MO, died peacefully at North Kansas City Hospital on Wednesday, December 7, 2016. She was born October 23, 1948, in Alamosa, Colorado to the late Wesley E. and Kathryn L. (Wagner) Parker.
Elaine loved scrap-booking, gardening, and volunteering at her church. She was also very informed and active in politics; often working the polls on Election Day. She also had an extensive Angel collection and was often hard-pressed to find a place to display them all.
She was the loving mother of Brian (Dana) Eckhart and Jason (Karen) Eckhart, cherished grandmother of Sydney, Zack, Emily and the late Caleb Timothy; beloved sister of Delora Sullivan and Nina Barton. Dear Aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many.
A celebration of life service is will be Saturday, December 17, at 11 AM at Gashland United Methodist Church 7715 N. Oak Traffic way; Kansas City, MO. Inurnment will be in MonteVista, Cemetery in MonteVista, Colorado at a later date.
