Eileen May Strobbe Shearer, 72, of Parkville, Mo passed away February 12, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Thursday February 18th at St. Therese Catholic Church, 7207 NW 9 Hwy, with visitation is 5:00 – 7:00 pm, with the rosary at 5:00 pm Wednesday at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 169 Hwy & Shoal Creek Prkwy. Burial in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Assn or American Diabetes Assn.
Eileen was a lifetime member of St. Therese Parish. She truly enjoyed time spent with her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Julia (De Frieze) Strobbe, sisters, Germaine Turner and Betty Lowe. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Larry Shearer, children, Brian (Sharon) Shearer, Gina (Wade) Bearden, sisters, Margaret Borland, Nadine Jolley, 6 grandchildren, Alyssa, Logan, Baleigh, Karma, Isaac, Evelyn May and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Golden Living Center of Smithville for their care for the last years of Eileen’s life and Asera Care Hospice for her last days.
