EDWARD ANTHONY MARSTALL
Edward A Marstall, 96, of Liberty, MO, passed away Dec. 19, 2015. Born near Paxico, KS Nov. 10, 1919 to Herman Henry and Ida Anna (Kast) Marstall, Ed was the youngest of 9 children. He attended Newberry School and moved to St. Marys, KS when he was 16. He was married to Eunice Lorraine Haug from 1942 until her death in 1970. Ed and Dorothy Mae Lawson were married in 1972.
A World War II Army veteran, Ed worked as a machinist for Corn Products in North Kansas City for 40 years. He enjoyed bowling, camping, golf, hunting, fishing and traveling. His greatest joy was tinkering in his woodshop and in recent years sketching scenes from his childhood farm and places he had visited. Ed’s achievements in life were many, but most will remember him as a strong, humble man with a gentle soul and a special gift for storytelling.
Ed is survived by his wife Dorothy, of the home; children, Nancy Lloyd (Daniel), Lexington, MO; Kathy Bechtel (Tom), Lawrence, KS; Brenda Kaiser (Scott), Phoenix, AZ; and Larry Lawson (Becky), Apple Valley, MN; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Eunice; son, Marvin Marstall; and great grandson, Greyson Bechtel.
Funeral services will be held Dec. 23, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 919 NE 96th St, Kansas City, MO. Rosary at 9:00 am, Visitation: 9:30-10:45, Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.
