Dorothye Perry

Dorothye L. “Dottie” Perry, 90 of Platte City, MO died at home on Monday, October 29, 2018. She was born May 20, 1928, in Springfield, MO to the late Jack and Gertrude (Garrison) Dickens.

Dottie was the loving wife of 40 years of D. Russell Perry, dear mother of Diane (Daniel) Heim, James (Laurel) Perry, Jay (Raquel) Perry and the late Joseph Perry; cherished grandmother of Hannah Perry.

She and her husband Russell met in Springfield, MO; and moved several times during their 40 year marriage and always considered Kansas City home. Dottie worked at J.C. Penny’s in the Metro North Mall for many years. She will always be remembered for her feisty attitude and for being a great mother, grandmother, neighbor and friend.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018, at 12:15 PM at Terrace Park Cemetery; 801 NW 108th St. Kansas City, MO. If you so desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Hospice or St. Jude’s Hospital for Children .
