Dorothy M. Smith, 93, Kansas City, Mo passed away September 8, 2014. Memorial services will be 4:00 pm Thursday September 11th at Terrace Park Funeral Home, with visitation preceding services 3:00 – 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory to the Tenth Church of Christ, Scientist.
Besides raising her 4 daughters in the Northland, Dorothy was a talented singer and pianist. She was devoted to her church, the Tenth Church of Christ, Scientist. Later in life she enjoyed brief stints of acting with the Bell Barn Road Players.. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Smith in 2007 after 61 years of marriage. She is survived by her children, Florence (Randy) Cunningham, Liz (Dwight) Carmichael, Hazel (Larry) Anders, Kathy (Chuck) Hayes, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
