Dorothy Hunsucker

Dorothy F. Hunsucker, 75, of Platte City, MO, died peacefully at Northcare Hospice House on Saturday, February 21, 2015. She was born September 30, 1939 in Henry County, MO, the daughter of the late Bill A. and Alice (McQueen) Yearout.
She made the most of life, spending time at the YMCA, where she would work out and socialize; she loved animals; she enjoyed playing cards and board games with family. After her husband Manuel passed away, she took many trips with her friend Dixie, traveling to Alaska, Hawaii, Ireland and across the Southwest states. She loved ice-cream and her family.
Dorothy was the loving wife of the late: Manuel Hunsucker, dear mother of Jamie (Martin) Faudere of Platte City and Daniel (Callie) Hunsucker of Smithville, cherished grandmother of Morgan, and her grand-puppies. She was a dear aunt, cousin and friend to many.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy is preceded in death by many faithful and beloved pets.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 12 PM with a gathering beginning at 10AM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO.
