Dorothy Battaglia

Dorothy Hines Battaglia, 90, of Riverside, Missouri passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Riverside Rehab and Nursing Home. Dorothy was born August 12, 1927 to Charles and Bertha (Hines) Croner, in Mound City, Missouri. She graduated from Mound City High School, in 1945. On December 24, 1957 she married Lewis C. Battaglia. She will always be remembered as a hardworking dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that loved spending time with her family, and cooking. She was a member of the St. Therese Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her son Joseph, and son-in-law Bruce Bechthold.
She leaves behind two sons; Michael Battaglia of Riverside, MO, and David Battaglia of Smithville, MO, her daughter Diana Bechthold of Gladstone, MO. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren; Anthony Battaglia, Aaron, Chloe, Rachel, and Adam Bechthold, Joseph, Angelina, Antonio, Nicholas, Anthony Battaglia, and Jason Deck and one great grandchild, Leonardo “Leo” Battaglia.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 11 AM at Terrace Park Funeral Home Lakeside Chapel; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO.
