Dorothy Allene (Shackelford) Miller 92, of Smithville, Mo passed away April 22, 2016. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday April 27th at Terrace Park Funeral Home (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek Prkwy), with visitation preceding services 9:00 – 10:00 am. Burial in Terrace Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Smithville.
Dorothy was born October 14, 1923 in Waldron, Mo and was a lifelong resident of Platte and Clay counties. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Smithville. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jesse L. Miller, a daughter, Geneva Spain, and 11 brothers and sisters. Survivors include her brother, Donald Shackelford, daughters, Frances Lewis, Barbara Arnold, son, Gary Miller, 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
