Doris Moore

Doris Darlene Moore, 80, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Pleasant Valley Manor. Doris was born July 25, 1937 to Everett and Ethel (Cleveland) Bales in Warrensburg, MO. She married Harry E. Moore on October 18, 1953 in Kansas City, MO. Doris was a career homemaker, and volunteered at Topping Elementary doing various duties to include the PTA. She also babysat for many children over the years. Doris will always be remembered for her love of eclectics. She collected hallmark keepsakes and penguins. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, baking, and spending time in her flower gardens. She was a member of the Winnwood Baptist Church for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 58 years.

She is survived by her two sons Doug Moore of  Kansas City, MO, Charles Moore of Princeton, KS, brothers; Everett and Larry (Claudia) Bales, and sisters Linda (Donna) Coleman, and Nancy (Bill) Stout, and a host of many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, with Funeral Services on Friday, March 23, 2018  at 2:00 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO.
