Doris Gravett

Doris J. Gravett, 83, of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully on September 28, 2022. She was born to the late Elwin and Bonnie Williams on October 18, 1938 in Geary, Oklahoma. She was married to the love of her life, James Gravett, on May 20, 1956.

Doris was not only a housewife, she was a wonderful caretaker to those around her. She loved her family and was very involved in the church. Doris spent many Sundays teaching 2nd and 3rd Grade Sunday School and Children’s Church. In her later years, she would lead Bible studies. She was a faithful woman of Christ.

She was a loving, sweet, and generous woman. She always had a smile on her face when you saw her. Doris would have done anything for her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: James Gravett; daughter-in-law: Camille Gravett; and her sister: Nancy Sheridan.

Doris is survived by her children: Sherry (Richard) Davis, Cathy (Greg) Harris, Steve Gravett, and Brenda (Greg) Dahl; grandchildren: Brandon Harris, Jenny (Paul) Fisher, Kevin (Laurel) Davis, Stacie Davis, Nathan Dahl, Nicole Gravett, Marisa Davis, and Josh Gravett; 7 great grandsons, and 1 great granddaughter; as well as her brother: David (Louise) Williams.
