Donna Collene Seymour, 80, of Kansas City, MO passed away on March 9, 2019.
Donna was born on May 10, 1938 in Tarkio, MO to Virgil and Stella (Brown) Traub. When she was only 16 years old she left home and moved to Fairfax, MO. Soon after, she married Melvin Seymour on October 4, 1955. In the early 1960’s, Melvin and Donna moved to the Kansas City area, where they raised their family. Caring for her family was a job that Donna took very seriously, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t have a little fun in the process. She loved wearing bright clothing, bows in her hair, and her infamous Crocs, which she had in just about every color possible.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Melvin.
Her fun and colorful personality will be greatly missed an fondly remembered by her children, Cindy (Jerry) Savage and Mike (Lori) Seymour; grandchildren, Ashlee (Josh) Peterson, Melyssa (Danny) Blanchett, Lindsay (Mike) Tiehen, Kara (Jesse) Brady, and Austin (Morgan) Seymour; great grandchildren, Noah, Landon, Parker, Charlotte, Jack, Tommy, Annika, August, Palmer, Elise, and another great grandson due in May; siblings, Linda Williams, Shirley Vawter, and Ronnie Traub; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Donna left her imprint on so many as her true dedication in life was her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 2:00pm, visitation beginning at 12:30pm and burial to follow, at Terrace Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
