Donald F. Cockriel Jr., 70, of Rushville, MO, died suddenly on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. He was born in St. Joseph, MO, on November 25, 1945 to the late Donald Cockriel Sr. and Frances Eskridge Cockriel.
Don worked TWA and American Airlines for more than 40 years. He loved being outdoors, listening to country and blue grass music and spending time with family and friends.
He was the loving father of Jennifer Zaiss, Brian Cockriel, and the late Brenda Lea Kerr. Cherished grandpa of Zachary Zaiss, Zoe Zaiss Christopher Hodges, and Danielle Roberts; great grandpa of, Kaylea Grace and Brooklynn Michelle; dear brother of Richard (Linda) Cockriel and Bobby (Sandy) Cockriel. Dear friend of Larry Reiter and Mary Sawyer. He was a dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Visitation will be Friday, November 18, 2016 from 10 AM until time of Service at 11 AM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Interment will follow in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross 211 W Armour Blvd, Kansas City, MO, 64111.
