Donald Butterfield

Donald R. Butterfield passed away on April 23, 2020 peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. Donald was born on February 15, 1929 in Kansas City, MO to Robert and Opal Butterfield.

He married the love of his life, Betty, in July of 1948, and from this marriage they had two children. Don began his 50 year career with TWA as an electrician, and was later promoted to project manager which he did until he retired. Don was affectionately known as Mr. Fix it and could be found much of the time tinkering in his barn. He enjoyed helping others and was a proud member of Butterfield Youth Services in Marshall, Missouri. He was a devout Christian and attended Gashland Presbyterian Church with his family for over 40 years. Don will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, and extended family and friends. A private graveside service will be held at Terrace Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Donald's name are suggested to Great Circle Butterfield Campus, Marshall, Missouri, or Gashland Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

His family was truly blessed to have him in their lives and they are happy knowing he has received his heavenly wings and that they will meet again one day.
